Let's face it. Someone is going to do it: have a The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1-inspired wedding, whether just for fun or for real.
This has been anticipated by retailers and the film studio's licensing team because there are plenty of ways to make it happen . . . and a few key must-have items as well.
Today, Alfred Angelo added the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 replica wedding dress to their website, called Style 8400, which looks almost exactly like the gown designed by Carolina Herrera for "Bella" (Kristen Stewart) in the film. See here for that.
The Breaking Dawn wedding gown would be number one on a list of those things needed for a truly faithful rendition of a Twilight-inspired wedding, for obvious reasons.Number two would be the replica engagement ring. Now, there are real diamond versions of this available, but for the price sensitive, Hot Topic has a simple metal version that should suit the occasion just fine - especially if this is a just-for-fun affair. HT also has a replica of her hair comb, which is a third must-have for such an occasion.
Fourth up is the invitations, which The Hollywood Reporter explains can be purchased at Barneys - though, they are hand-made, so they get a bit pricey. Carmona New York has the exclusive line of Breaking Dawn - Part 1 wedding dishes, meanwhile, and one would of course need the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, to play the wedding version of "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" while at the altar.
A final item one would need, but only for the most faithful, is the shoes. These are very expensive, but they are available at Neiman Marcus. Appropriately, the design is called the Swan by Manolo Blahnik.
So, will you try to pull off a Breaking Dawn-inspired wedding event? If so, what will you do?
