David Cronenberg admits he initially pursued Rob for the lead role but got more than he bargained for — is he being too honest or too mean?
Robert Pattinson is an incredible addition to any cast, but Cosmopolis director David Cronenbergsaid working with him was difficult! We’re shocked!
David, 68, said Rob’s celebrity made the 25-year-old a liability on set, the CBC reports.
“Actually the fame was a detriment,” he said. “I mean, it’s good for financing – but it’s not necessarily good when you’re on the street and there are a lot of Twi-hards around. But I think people will be really surprised, I mean, I think he’s a terrific actor and that’s why I went after him.”
